Snowkite

Le Petit Mézenc is one of the snowkite spots in the Mézenc massif, at Les Estables (Haute-Loire, 43). Located on the south-east face of Le Petit Mézenc, to the left of the road, the spot faces South-East to South-West. The terrain offers great slopes and relief, with the possibility of sending big jumps for advanced riders. The Mézenc massif is considered one of the best snowkite spots in France, with impressive wind statistics and vast open areas above 1,500 m altitude. Les Estables, the highest village in the Massif Central (1,350 m), is 30 min from Le Puy-en-Velay, 1h from Saint-Étienne and 2h from Lyon. Snowkite school on site: Mézenc Kite, run by Didier Botta, 2021 snowkite world champion, certified instructor since 2018 (mezenckite.com).
