Snowkite

Snowkite spot located near the Croix de Boutières, a few hundred meters from Les Estables towards Le Chaulet. Facing North-West, it's an all-level spot: from beginners to slope soaring. The technical zone runs along the road which is aligned with the wind. Keep enough distance to avoid getting caught by the forest to the East. Do not park in front of the farm as the owner rents it as a holiday cottage and doesn't want cars in front — the future of the designated zone depends on it. In summer there are fences that are laid down before winter and get covered by snow. The MZK club (MéZenc Kite) handles this and places flags to mark the passages through these fences in agreement with the local farmers. Please respect this!

Park at the edge of the forest on the right, then set up in the adjacent field (designated zone). The spot is large and you can ride up along the tree line to access a wider plateau above. Snowkite school: Mézenc Kite (mezenckite.com), run by Didier Botta, 2021 world champion. FFVL-certified spot.

Parking

Park at the car park at the edge of the forest on the right. Do not park in front of the farm (owner rents as holiday cottage). Set up in the field right next to it — this is the designated kite zone.

Hazards

Fences when not covered by snow. Between the kite zone and the forest, a strip of snow is used for sledging — it's an unofficial but well-established use. Avoid flying kites over their heads and kindly let them know not to come into the kite zone.
