Overview

Punta delle Saline is a kitesurf spot on the northeast coast of Sardinia, near Olbia, in an area characterised by former salt flats. The point offers multiple wind exposures, receiving both the Maestrale (northwest), the northeast thermal sea breeze, and the Levante (southeast). The water is flat near the old salt flats, ideal for freeride and learning. A practical and versatile spot, easily accessible from Olbia.

Hazards

Frequent leisure boat traffic in summer — stay alert near the nearby port area. Thermal wind can be irregular early morning and evening. Some shallow areas in the former salt flat zones.
