Paljassaare is a peninsula in northern Tallinn, offering an urban kitesurfing spot with views over Tallinn Bay. The spot is popular with local riders for its proximity to the city centre.
The riding area is in Kopli Bay, sheltered by the peninsula. West to north-west winds are most favourable. The bottom is sandy and muddy, the water shallow. The spot can be windy thanks to the acceleration effect around the peninsula.
Paljassaare is a former industrial district undergoing renewal. Access is easy from Tallinn. The season runs from May to October. Suited for intermediate riders.
