<![CDATA[Port Latta is a kitesurfing spot located on the northwest coast of Tasmania. This small historic port, once used for ore export, offers sailing conditions in Bass Strait waters. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest to west in summer. Waves are moderate to strong on this exposed coast. The bottom is a mix of sand and reef. The port remnants provide some protection. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders. The water is cold, a thick wetsuit is required. Watch out for submerged port structures. Little infrastructure nearby.]]>
