<![CDATA[Georges Bay is a kitesurfing spot located on the northeast coast of Tasmania, at St Helens. This large natural bay offers sheltered flat water conditions, ideal for freestyle and learning, while being close to ocean beaches for more experienced riders. The prevailing wind comes from the northwest to north in summer. The bay offers excellent swell protection, creating flat water conditions. The water is shallow in some areas with a sandy to muddy bottom. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for beginners and intermediates thanks to the sheltered bay conditions. The water is cold, a thick wetsuit is required. St Helens has all amenities. It is one of the best flat water spots on the Tasmanian east coast.]]>
