<![CDATA[St Kilda is an iconic kitesurfing spot located in inner suburban Melbourne on Port Phillip Bay. St Kilda is one of Melbourne's most famous neighborhoods, known for its historic pier, Luna Park amusement park, and nightlife. It is Melbourne's most urban and iconic kitesurfing spot. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest to west in summer (thermal sea breeze), blowing cross-shore. The bay offers flat water to small chop conditions. The water is shallow with a sandy bottom. The spot is extremely busy in summer, with swimmers, joggers, and kitesurfers sharing the space. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for beginners and intermediates. The water is cold, a wetsuit is required. WARNING: check authorized kitesurfing zones as restrictions apply, particularly near the pier and swimming areas. All of Melbourne's amenities are at hand. It is the ultimate urban kitesurfing experience.]]>
