<![CDATA[Murray Mouth is a kitesurfing spot located at the mouth of the Murray River in South Australia, in Coorong National Park. It is a wild and spectacular spot where Australia's longest river meets the Southern Ocean. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest in summer, blowing powerfully over this open area. Conditions are varied: flat water on the Coorong lagoon side and powerful waves on the ocean side. Currents at the river mouth can be extremely strong and dangerous. The spot is reserved for expert riders due to violent currents, remoteness, and complete lack of rescue services. Access requires a 4WD vehicle. The Coorong is an important protected area for migratory birds. Buddy sailing is mandatory.]]>
