Overview

Curvao is a spot located in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes area, west of Rio de Janeiro. This section of ocean beach is popular among carioca kitesurfers for its NE and SW winds. The spot receives south swells and offers consistent wave conditions. The thermal NE wind strengthens in the afternoon. SW entries also bring strong wind. Suited to intermediate riders.
