Pointe aux Outardes

Pointe aux Outardes

Overview

Kitesurf spot at Pointe-aux-Outardes, a long sand point extending into the St. Lawrence estuary near Baie-Comeau. This exceptional site is also a nature reserve and nature park known for migratory bird watching (hence the name "Outardes", old name for Canada goose). The point offers water with multiple exposure and varied conditions. Sand flats are immense at low tide. One of the most remarkable spots on the North Shore.
