Overview
Keros Beach is a long sandy bay on the east coast of Limnos (Lemnos) in the Aegean Sea, lying on a north-east / south-west axis. Its northern end offers flat water close to shore over a shallow sandy bottom. The spot is used for kitesurfing, windsurfing and wingfoiling. Several centres on the bay rent equipment and give lessons.

On the water
Sandy bottom and shallow water: you can stand almost everywhere up to about 80 m from shore (150 m according to another source). Flat water close to shore at the north end of the bay.
Wind specificities
The meltemi blows from the north / north-east from June to August: it starts around 9-10 am and peaks between 11 am and 4 pm. The wind is more north-easterly until midday, then northerly in the afternoon. In a southerly wind the spots of the bay reverse: waves to the north, flat water to the south.
Hazards
The wind can be gusty, especially when it blows from the north.
