Overview
Spiaggia Lunga is a beach at Scialmarino, near Vieste (Gargano, Apulia), listed as a free kite and windsurf spot. Kitejungle rates it suited to beginners, with a protected entry, and gives north to north-east wind (tramontana) as the best; a Vieste guide says the maestrale and scirocco blow strong there: directions are not confirmed. The beach is much contested between windsurfers and kiters in May-June.
