Dakhla New Spirit kitesurf and wingfoil spot

Dakhla New Spirit is a kite and wingfoil centre, with a 30-bungalow hotel on a hill north-west of Dakhla and a private sandy beach facing the lagoon. Lessons for all levels. On the Dakhla lagoon (about 45 km long and over 4 km wide, flat water sheltered from swell), the main season runs from April to October, peaking from June to August at up to 35 knots; the wind, 15 to 25 knots on more than 300 days a year, is an afternoon thermal, side-shore, sometimes gusty, with calm mornings.
