Overview

Nuns Beach is a kitesurfing spot located in Portland, in the far west of Victoria. This beach offers sailing conditions in Portland Bay, partially sheltered by Portland Point. The spot is named after the nuns who once frequented this beach. The prevailing south-west to west winds blow regularly along this coast. Portland Bay offers some protection from south-west swells, making the spot more accessible than the exposed beaches in the area. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders. Portland is a port town with full services. Parking is available beachside. Watch out for rocks and nearby port structures.
