Killarney is a kitesurfing spot located near Warrnambool, in western Victoria. This south-facing coastal beach offers varied sailing conditions, with quality waves and consistent winds. The spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders. The prevailing southwest to west winds blow cross-shore, creating ideal conditions for wave kitesurfing. The area benefits from strong and consistent winds, particularly in summer when thermal breezes add to the synoptic flow. The beach is long and sandy, offering plenty of space for setup. Killarney Beach is also known for its wild and pristine setting. Watch out for currents and rocks along some sections of the beach.
