Lawrence's Beach in Port Hood is a kitesurfing spot located on the west coast of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Port Hood is a picturesque fishing village overlooking the Northumberland Strait, offering a magnificent setting for sailing. The spot benefits from dominant southwest and west winds, with conditions influenced by the tides. The water is warmer than on the Atlantic coast thanks to the protection of the strait. The sandy beach provides a good launch point. The sailing season runs from June to September. This spot is suitable for intermediate riders.
