Kohimarama Beach is a popular beach on the Auckland waterfront, located along Tamaki Drive between Mission Bay and St Heliers. Facing northeast, this beach offers an open body of water on the Hauraki Gulf with views of Rangitoto. NE and E winds create pleasant side-shore conditions. The spot is suitable for intermediates. The beach is very busy in summer with swimmers and paddlers. The neighborhood offers cafes and restaurants. Watch out for sharing the space with other users.
