Overview

City Beach is a kitesurfing spot located in the western suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. This popular urban beach offers accessible sailing conditions with the "Fremantle Doctor" and proximity to Perth city centre. Dominant south to southwest winds blow side-shore on this west-facing beach. Summer thermal breezes are very reliable, offering after-work sessions. The water is oceanic with moderate chop and small waves. City Beach has parking, restaurants and cafes. The beach is very popular for recreation. Watch out for swimming zones, surfers and reefs.
