Hukilau Beach Park kitesurf, wingfoil and surf spot
United States · Hawaii
Overview
Hukilau Beach Park is located on Oahu's northeast coast at Laie, in the transition zone between the windward coast and the North Shore. The name "hukilau" refers to a traditional Hawaiian net fishing technique. The spot benefits from direct exposure to northeast trade winds blowing side-onshore. In winter, north swells create significant waves. The sandy beach offers relatively easy water access. The spot is less crowded than the main North Shore breaks, providing more space.
