Overview

Oceanside is a small coastal village on Oregon's north coast, near Tillamook. This spot offers a sandy beach framed by Cape Meares to the north and Cape Lookout to the south. The Three Arch Rocks, a National Wildlife Refuge, are visible offshore. The beach is relatively protected by the surrounding capes but remains exposed to Pacific swells. Access is easy from the village with parking at the top of the cliff.

Cold water year-round (10-14°C), 4/3 wetsuit essential in summer, 5/3 in winter. Waves of 1 to 2 meters with moderate swell thanks to partial protection from the capes. Sandy bottom on the main beach with rocks at the edges. Rip currents present, especially on outgoing tide. The Three Arch Rocks offshore create swell refraction zones.
