Quinéville is one of the most complete spots of the Cotentin east coast, 15 km from the CNPS club base at Jonville. Located near the Utah Beach area (D-Day landing beaches), this large sandy beach hosts the Quinéville sailing school and the CNPS community. The spot works from N/NW to SE: waves by N and E, flat by offshore directions.
Very versatile: flat water, waves, foil — all disciplines depending on wind direction and tide. CNPS notes: "everything is possible here, just choose the right wind direction." Lawn in front of the sailing school for rigging. Beware of W wind which is disturbed by the dunes. Check for tidal depth at low tide — the sea retreats far and long walks with gear are common.
The spot works year-round: 27 rideable days a month on average, at 15 °C. It peaks in June, with 352 hours of usable wind.

CNPS — Club Nautique de la Pointe de Saire — this is the base club at Quinéville's sailing school (28 Bd Maritime, 50310 Quinéville). All disciplines: windsurf, kite, wing, foil. cnps-jonville.com
Address: 28 Bd Maritime, 50310 Quinéville (sailing school with lawn for rigging). North of the school, 200m past the Sinope stream, is also a launch option. Park at the sailing school. W wind: unsafe for kite (dune wind disturbance) — switch to windsurf only. At very low tide: long walk to water — time your session with tidal window.
Open all year round
Beginner
N, NNW, NW: ideal for kite — side-onshore port tack, small waves. N and E: waves with shore break possible. S to SW/W: offshore directions — flat water but beware of being carried out to sea. W: dangerous for kite (dune wind turbulence) — windsurf only. Best tidal window: mid to high tide (avoid very low tide — long walk). A very complete spot for all levels.
Walk at low tide: at very low tide the sea retreats far — long walk with gear. NE and E: shore break possible, watch the landing. W wind: the dunes behind the beach disturb and channelize the wind dangerously — unsafe for kite. Shore break can be surprising at certain tidal stages. Check tides before committing.
