Overview

Eastbourne is a kitesurf spot located on the eastern shore of Wellington Harbour, in the Wellington region, on the North Island of New Zealand. This small coastal village faces west towards Wellington Harbour and benefits from south and north winds that circulate in the harbour. The dominant winds come from the south and north. The spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced kitesurfers. The harbour waters are calmer than the open ocean but can become choppy in strong winds. The spot offers an interesting alternative to Petone on the other side of the harbour.
