Spot de Saint-Aygulf - Embouchure de l'Argens (Fréjus)

Saint-Aygulf - Embouchure de l'Argens (Fréjus)

Saint-Aygulf - Embouchure de l'Argens (Fréjus)

Overview

Saint-Aygulf - Embouchure de l'Argens (Fréjus) is a FFVL-approved kitesurf spot at the mouth of the Argens river near Fréjus (Var). A 250m wide by 150m deep kite zone is marked with buoys in summer, patrolled by a beach marshall July-August. Beyond 300m the full Golfe de Fréjus is open for navigation.

Best winds: South thermal (regular 12-25 knots in summer) and East (October-April, stronger and more variable — can exceed 40 knots with gusts). Critical danger: Mistral (West) is deceptively light at the shore but much stronger 500m offshore — a serious trap for overtoiling. Naturist beach adjacent — strictly respect the kite zone boundaries. All levels welcome in good conditions.
