Spot de Salinas de Arinaga

Salinas de Arinaga kitesurf, wingfoil and windsurf spot

Spain · Canarias

Overview

Salinas de Arinaga (Bahía de Formas) is a flat water haven downwind from the town of Arinaga on the east coast. Protected by a tongue of land, it offers flat water inside the bay — perfect for beginners and intermediate riders to practice waterstart, gybes, and speed.

Wind is as strong as Pozo Izquierdo but the sheltered bay keeps the water flat. Further out, chop and occasional swell provide variety. The beach is pebbly but sandy further in the water.

A universal spot for all levels, and the go-to alternative when you want strong wind without big waves.
