Kite and SUP is a watersports shop in Warners Bay on Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle. Founded by David Sorensen, it sells kitesurfing, wing, foil, paddle, windsurfing and surf gear, plus wetsuits and safety equipment, with a second-hand section and clearance stock.
The shop focuses on advice and demos: the team lets customers try different set-ups so they buy the right gear first time. It says it works with KA, IKO, ASI and AYF qualified instructors.
Kitesurfing lessons are run with partners: Barnzey Water Sports on the Central Coast and Lake Macquarie, and Escape Eco Adventures in Nelson Bay. Buying a new kite kit includes lessons with the shop's own instructors.
The shop also hires gear from the store: inflatable or solid SUPs, wings and entry-level windsurf boards.

Inflatable SUP hire: AUD 50 for 3 hours, AUD 80 a day. Wing hire: AUD 60 a day, AUD 100 for 2 days. Beginner windsurf hire: AUD 150 a day. Prices shown on the website, year not stated.
