Newcastle Surf School

Newcastle Surf School describes itself as the longest-running surf school in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie area; its founder, Dan Frodsham, marked 25 years of teaching in 2024. It welcomes all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced surfers.

Lessons run all year round at three beaches: Nobbys, Blacksmiths and Caves Beach. Group lessons last two hours and include a soft board, wetsuit and sun shirt. The school also offers private lessons, school holiday programs, an after-school program for kids (Ocean Active Kids) and gift vouchers.
