Vertigo Surf

Vertigo Surf is a surf shop in Ōakura, Taranaki, a stone's throw from the beach. Founded in 1995 by Jono Heath, it has always been owned and run by New Zealand riders. It first served Taranaki surfers and now ships nationwide through its online store.

The shop carries more than 200 surfboards, wetsuits, fins, bags and all the accessories, plus stand-up paddleboards, skateboards and surfskates (Smoothstar, Swelltech, Slide), beachwear, sunscreen and coffee.

The team gives advice on choosing a board and helps riders build a quiver suited to local conditions.
