Compound Boardshop

Compound Boardshop is a surf, skate, skimboard and fly-fishing shop that opened in 2003 in Sarasota on Florida's Gulf Coast. It presents itself as the local go-to for these sports.

The surf department carries boards from Lost, Channel Islands, Bing, Catch Surf, Firewire, Seafarer, Slater Designs, Sharpeye, Tomo and Odysea, plus accessories (fins, wax, leashes) and wetsuits from Xcel, Quiksilver, O'Neill and Roxy. For paddling, it stocks hard and inflatable boards, paddles and accessories, including BOTE and Live Watersports.

The shop also runs summer surf, skim and paddle camps, with registration through Sarasota County Parks and Recreation, along with video premieres, contests and beach clean-ups. It supports a non-profit that introduces children to surfing and skateboarding.

Monday to Saturday 10 am to 7 pm. Closed New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day; closes early on some other holidays.
