South Lido Beach is located at the southern tip of Lido Key, in Sarasota. The spot benefits from near-360° exposure with the Gulf of Mexico to the west, Sarasota Bay to the east, and Big Sarasota Pass to the south. This unique position allows riding in almost any wind direction. Shallow waters in the bay offer good conditions for beginners and intermediates.

Very strong currents in Big Sarasota Pass, especially during tide changes — avoid this area. Boat traffic transiting through the pass. Stingrays in shallow waters. Protected natural area with mangroves.
