Aqua East Surf Shop Neptune Beach

Aqua East Surf Shop is a long-established surf shop in Northeast Florida, opened in 1973 by surfer and skater Sandy Forsyth, then 19. At first Sandy also built boards in his parents' garage; he later stopped shaping to focus on the store. He opened his Neptune Beach superstore in 1988 and the St. Augustine Beach one in 1999; his family has carried on his work since his death.

The Neptune Beach store, on Atlantic Boulevard, sells surf, skate and beach gear and apparel. Over the years the shop has added snowboarding, kayaking and wakeboarding, and supports local competition (Eastern Surfing Association), the Surfrider Foundation and public skateparks.
