Mal Pais Surf Camp

Founded in 1990, Mal Pais Surf Camp is a hotel and surf hostel spread over five acres of tropical gardens in Malpaís, near Santa Teresa on the Nicoya Peninsula.

Guests can choose between poolside villas and houses, hotel rooms, cabinas and dorms. The property has a 17-metre freeform pool, a gym, billiards and wifi. For surfers, the hotel offers board rentals, surf lessons and advice on the breaks around Santa Teresa, Malpaís and the rest of Costa Rica; it can also arrange activities (horseback riding, fishing, boat trips) and airport or ferry pick-up.
