Nalu is a surf school and shop in Santa Teresa, on the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. It claims more than fifteen years in business and welcomes all levels.
Lessons are offered in groups, semi-private or private, with a rash guard and board provided; one-, three- and five-day packages are available. The 1.5-hour sessions take place at Playa Carmen or at other beaches and points nearby, depending on swell, tide and wind. Nalu also runs guided surf tours, with or without 4x4 transport.
The shop sells new boards, wax, leashes, fins, rash guards and O'Neill surfwear; it is the exclusive Channel Islands and DHD dealer in Santa Teresa. The rental stock includes more than 50 boards: softboards, longboards, fish, funboards and shortboards.
