Kandui Villas

Kandui Villas is a high-end surf resort founded in 2007 by the original founders of Kandui Resort, in the heart of the Playgrounds in the northern Mentawai Islands (West Sumatra). It welcomes surfers of all levels as well as families.

Guests stay in villas (the umas) and have a pool, a restaurant supplied largely by the island's own garden, a bar, a game room, a gym and yoga space, a spa and a nanny service. A photography service shoots every session and shows the pictures and videos at sunset.

A surf school, a quiver of boards and boats give access to many nearby waves, including Kandui Left, Rifles, Bank Vaults and Hideaways. The website details a tsunami preparedness plan and the boat transfer from Padang.
