The Surfer is a surf camp in Weligama on the south coast of Sri Lanka, combining accommodation, a surf school and yoga. It is owned by a local surfer who was born and raised in Weligama. Three camps share one surf school and one team: Beach Camp, TS2 Camp and Soul Surfer Camp, all within minutes of the beach.
Lessons are taught by ISA-certified instructors with a maximum of four students per coach, plus video analysis to help you progress. The camp caters to beginners and advanced surfers alike, with nine to ten surf spots a five to ten minute tuk-tuk ride away. Daily yoga, social evenings and boat trips complete the programme.
Guests can stay in a dormitory or a private room, with surf packages for several levels.
