Pousada BGK - BGKite School

Pousada BGK is in Barra Grande, in the municipality of Cajueiro da Praia (Piauí), facing the sea under a grove of coconut palms. It welcomes kitesurfers chasing the trade winds as well as travellers looking for quiet beaches.

The website lists on site a beach bar, a kitesurf school (BGKite School), kayak rental and an açaí and ice cream kiosk. Guests have a pool with a bar, breakfast, wifi, parking and bilingual service. Pets are not accepted.

BGKite School presents itself as the first school accredited by the Brazilian Kite Association (ABK). It sits on the waterfront, facing the kite spot: gear is rigged with an air compressor provided by the school and a garage keeps kites in the shade, away from hot sand and wind. The site states that the season starts with the first winds in July, is ideal from August to November and ends in January-February, with no guarantee of wind.
