OCEAN Normandie (Lion-sur-Mer)

OCEAN Normandie is a watersports association active on the Côte de Nacre, near Caen. It operates the Colleville-Montgomery watersports area, the Lion-sur-Mer base (open in July-August), a sand yachting school and the Ouistreham water activity centre.

Activities include stand up paddle, windsurfing, funboard, wing foil, catamaran, dinghy, Optimist, kayak, sand yachting and longe-côte, as lessons, 5-day courses (summer and spring and autumn holidays) or introductory sessions, for beginners, intermediates and competitors. Group activities (schools, seminars, stag and hen parties) are also offered.

Stated minimum ages range from 4 for the youngest sailors to 7 for Optimist, catamaran and sand yachting, 10 for windsurfing, 12 for dinghy, funboard and stand up paddle, and 14 for wing foil and longe-côte.

Instructors and educators are qualified. The association is affiliated with the French Sailing, Sand Yachting and Surf federations, and hosts a stage of the French funboard championship.
