Voiles de Nacre

Voiles de Nacre is a sailing and kitesurf school based at place du 6 juin in Langrune-sur-Mer, on the Côte de Nacre (Calvados). Approved by the Academic Inspectorate and the Youth and Sports authority, it holds the French Sailing Federation label.

Instruction is provided by state-qualified instructors, led by a base manager with two deputies. School-holiday courses (spring, summer, autumn) run in half-days from Monday to Friday on Topaz catamaran, kitesurf, Optimist, windsurf, funboard and wingfoil. Outside holidays, "Sport et Loisir" courses run on Wednesdays and Saturdays from March to December, from age 8, along with a "Sport et Compétition" track for regattas.

For kitesurf and wingfoil the club offers short courses (2 or 3 days in kite, weekend or 3 days in wingfoil) and pay-per-session options. It also rents kayaks, stand up paddles, catamarans and windsurfers, and hosts private lessons, groups and seminars.

The fleet includes 21 catamarans, 15 Optimists, 5 Lasers, 2 RS 500s, 30 windsurf boards, 8 stand up paddles and 5 safety boats. A local weather station, anemometer and webcam let you follow conditions.
