School Presentation
Initia'Wing is a wingfoil school run by Julien Somers, a state-qualified sailing instructor, on the calm water of the Ch'noue water sports area (impasse des Sauniers) in Les Sables-d'Olonne. It is open from March to November, with a time slot set according to the weather after contact a few days before the session.
Lessons range from discovery to handling and improvement, with autonomy as the goal. The 2-hour wing lesson takes 1 to 4 people with full equipment, helmet and impact vest provided. The school also offers a session with your own equipment (advice, follow-up, supervised sailing and towing), wingfoil equipment rental, towed foiling at sea and gift vouchers.
The equipment, new and renewed each year, comes from the brands Gong and Takoon. Wetsuit and booties are not provided for lessons; a wetsuit can be rented.
