School Presentation
École de Surf Moana has been based since 2008 on the Grande Plage of Saint-Trojan-les-Bains, on the island of Oléron. It is run by Baptiste Dalmon, a state-certified instructor (BEESS 1st-degree surf, BNSSA, CFAPSE, boat licence), and is labelled by the French Surfing Federation.
The offer includes 2-hour group and private lessons (about 1 hour 30 in the water), week-long courses (5 x 2 h), weekly training sessions, and stand-up paddle lessons and outings. Students are aged 6 to 81, all levels, and lessons are given in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese. Boards, wetsuits and paddles are provided or rented.
The beach is a Natura 2000 site: no water or electricity, dry toilets and limited parking (bike or carpooling advised). The school is open from April to November.
