Mahi Mahi Surf School

Mahi Mahi Surf School is a mobile surf school in Biarritz founded by Charlotte Caton, a former professional surfer who competed at world level. It emphasises quality, safety and personal coaching, with groups of six students maximum per instructor.

Lessons take place at the Côte des Basques and, depending on level and conditions, at other Biarritz beaches, Bidart, Hendaye (fallback spot), Seignosse and Hossegor, using a van. The offer includes group courses of one to five days from 55 €, private lessons from 150 €, Surf Safaris from 200 € and groups of up to eight people on quotation; children are accepted from age 6.

Board and wetsuit are provided (shorty, 3/2 or 4/3 depending on the season, booties and hood in winter). Instructors are state-qualified, lessons are given in French, English and Spanish, and the school is open all year weather and sea permitting, with 1.5-hour sessions following the tides.
