Gliss'Experience

Gliss'Experience is a surf school in Anglet based at Les Cavaliers beach, between the Izadia ecological park and the Chiberta forest. It was created by Mathieu Gallico, a surf, bodyboard and stand-up paddle teacher who cites more than twenty years of experience. The school is approved by Jeunesse et Sports and holds the École Française de Surf label.

It offers introductions, lessons and week-long courses for children, teenagers and adults, courses with accommodation (including a teen surf camp), stand-up paddle, a club, a "Surf Santé" (health) section and sessions for groups and works councils. Winter surf trips are organised to Dakhla (Morocco) and the Canary Islands. Depending on the spot, lessons range from beginner level (Cavaliers, Sables d'Or) to intermediate (Marinella).

Teaching relies on the BPJEPS Surf diploma, with instructors including former lifeguards (MNS) from Anglet and the Basque coast. Beginners use French-made foam boards with soft fins; wetsuits and lycras are made from recycled materials.
