École de surf L'Esquiro

L'Esquiro is a surf school at Les Estagnots in Seignosse, opposite the Belambra Les Estagnots holiday club. The school was founded in 1995 and is backed by a surf shop that has been on site since 1990. It holds the École Française de Surf and Qualité Tourisme labels.

Lessons are group or private, for beginners and improving surfers, taught by instructors holding the French state diploma (Brevet d'État). Registration includes the surf school licence and insurance as well as a surf passport; the tourist office indicates that French, English and Spanish are spoken.

The adjoining shop rents boards (foam boards, shortboards, longboards), bodyboards and wetsuits for kids and adults, as well as bikes (mountain bikes, city bikes, beach bikes, kids' bikes). It sells surf clothing and accessories, locally shaped boards, new or second-hand, and offers board repairs. The brands cited on the website are Rip Curl and FCS.

Opening for the 2026 season is announced from 4 April to 1 November.
