School Presentation
L'Andade ("the wave" in the local dialect) is a family-run surf school created in 2008 by Romain Goubet, a state-certified surf instructor who has been teaching for many years. His wife Sylvie handles questions about operations, availability and schedules. The school's address is 24 avenue du Port in Claouey.
It offers surf lessons and courses for children from age 8, teenagers and adults, from beginner to experienced surfer, as well as private lessons and board rental. Lessons most often take place on the ocean side, at the North beach of Grand Crohot (Petit Crohot), especially in summer, with a meeting point at the Petit Crohot car park or picnic area.
A free shuttle, subject to available seats, picks up students in Andernos, Arès and Lège-Bourg; allow about 3h30 between departure and return to Andernos, depending on tides and sea conditions. Activity runs almost all year; the tourist office announces opening from 1 March to 30 November 2025.
