Maeva Surf Club

The Maeva Surf Club is an association founded on 20 April 1976 in Mimizan, presented on its website as a local institution of board sports. The club offers lessons, training and year-round activities, and hosts departmental, regional and national competitions.

Its surf school, based at Remember beach (33 avenue de la Côte d'Argent), holds the École Française de Surf and "Qualité Famille" labels. Lessons are taught by state-qualified instructors, with a maximum of eight surfers per instructor, from age 8 (a water-confidence test is compulsory for minors), from spring to the All Saints holidays.

The offer covers beginner and advanced lessons (positioning, take-off, bottom turn, first roller), group lessons and private lessons; board and wetsuit are included in lessons. The club also offers a year-round membership formula with licence, yoga classes for adults, group trips and winter sessions.

Equipment rental is available: surfboards, wetsuits, bodyboards and fins.
