École de surf La Dune

La Dune surf school presents itself as the only school located on the dune of Messanges main beach, facing the break (22 avenue du Centre). It is linked to La Dune Surf Camp, created in 2015 by Benoît, and holds the École Française de Surf label.

Surf and paddle lessons are organised by age group: Free-Mousses (5-6), Jardin de Vagues (7-10), Jelly Fish (11-13) and Easy Riders (14 and over). Packages, in 1.5-hour sessions, range from a discovery session to a 10-day course, with a 20-session card and private lessons for 1 to 4 people. Board, wetsuit and rash vest are lent.

The team holds the state surf instructor diploma and the national water rescue certificate. The school also rents equipment, which can be tried directly on the dune, and offers accommodation through the surf camp.

It is open from Easter to All Saints, and the Landes tourist office announces a 2026 season until 3 November.

Reception open every day 9 am to 7 pm, April to November. Lesson times are posted every Saturday at 2 pm.
