Ocean Tribe presents itself as the first kitesurf school to open in the UAE, in 2001, and says it has taught more than 3,000 students. The Dubai branch is run by Julien and its Google listing is located in Jumeirah 3.
The school gives kitesurfing, wingfoiling and kitefoiling lessons, plus kitesurfing lessons for kids from age 8. A lesson usually lasts two hours and you only pay for the time actually taught: if the wind is not good enough, the lesson is not charged.
Ocean Tribe also offers gear rental for independent riders, trips and adventures across the UAE and Oman, and an online shop with F-One and Manera gear.
