School Presentation

Kite Adventures Watamu teaches kitesurfing at Turtle Bay Beach in Watamu. The school is run by Ben Aguero, who grew up in this town on the Kenyan coast and discovered kiting on a trip to Zanzibar before earning his certifications and opening the school. It is registered with Kilifi County.

Instructors are IKO-certified and lessons are taught in English and Italian, from first-timers to riders looking to progress. Students wear helmets with radios, a rescue boat is available during lessons, and the school offers gear storage with help for kite launch and landing. Lessons are preferably held at low tide, when the water is shallow. Wing foiling is also offered on request.

The school also runs all-inclusive 7-day camps, for beginners (lessons included) or advanced riders, with airport transfer, accommodation, meals, a Tsavo safari and a dolphin trip.
