Tiki Kite School Watamu

School Presentation
Tiki Kite School is a small, locally owned kitesurfing school on Jacaranda Beach in Watamu, on the Kenyan coast. It is run around a single instructor, Sammy, who teaches beginners of all ages with an assistant helping on the beach.
The Jacaranda spot is known as one of the best flat-water kitesurfing spots in the world. It works best on neap tides, with cross-onshore wind in both seasons: Kaskazi (December to April, north-east wind around 20 to 25 knots) and Kuzi (June to September, stronger south-east wind, often above 25 knots).
The school offers twintip and foil lessons as well as full equipment rental. Lessons use walkie-talkies to talk to the student on the water, and insurance is included in the lesson packages.
