Miyazaki Surf Guide is a surf guiding service and school in Aoshima, Miyazaki Prefecture, on the island of Kyushu. It offers introductory lessons, coaching, private guided surf trips and board and wetsuit rental.
Each day the guide picks the best-suited spot according to wave size, wind, tide and crowds, and can arrange sessions at dawn or late in the day. Guided trips run as half-days or full days, never shared with other clients, and can include sightseeing around the region. The guide holds a Japanese Red Cross first-aid qualification and speaks English.
Boards and wetsuits, as well as fat bikes that can carry a surfboard, are rented at the ANA Holiday Inn Resort Miyazaki, with hot showers, towels and a changing room.
