Watersport Oman

Watersport Oman is a kitesurfing and watersports school based on Azaiba Beach in Muscat. It is a division of Watersport Consulting International, a company that advises on and runs water sports centres for hotels and beach clubs. The school says it was the first in Oman to teach with radio helmets, which keep the instructor in contact with the student throughout the lesson.

Kitesurf lessons are available as private lessons or group lessons (up to 4 students sharing one kite), in English, German and Dutch, with a jet-ski supported option. The school also teaches wing foiling, stand up paddling and surfing, and rents kite, foil, wing, paddle and surf equipment.

In summer it runs kitesurf camps from May to September at Bar Al Hikman and on Masirah Island, with Bedouin-style tents, all meals included and downwinders. It also offers stand up paddle tours in Muscat, wakeboarding, water skiing and wakesurfing behind a jet-ski, and boat trips with snorkelling.
